Designing a web and mobile agri-tech platform that monitors fields and provides solutions for farmers.
Discovery phase
The discovery phase focused on understanding farmers’ workflows, field monitoring challenges, and decision-making needs. Research and market analysis helped identify gaps in how field data is interpreted and acted upon, shaping a user-centered direction for the product.
Insights were gathered through conversations with farmers and domain experts to uncover key pain points related to field health, early issue detection, and timely intervention. These findings informed the core UX challenges and guided further product structure and flow design.
Ideation & Design
Based on research insights and farmers’ needs, multiple design directions were explored through early concepts, sketches, and layout studies. This phase focused on translating complex field data and alerts into clear, understandable interfaces aligned with real agricultural workflows.
The design approach emphasized clarity and actionability, ensuring that issues in the field are easy to identify and paired with clear next steps. Interfaces were structured to support quick decision-making across both web and mobile experiences.
Visual Exploration
Visual exploration focused on designing a clear, data-driven interface that helps farmers quickly understand field conditions. Dashboards, maps, and alert states were visually structured to highlight critical information while keeping the overall interface calm and easy to scan.
Color, typography, and layout were used as functional tools to differentiate field status, risks, and recommended actions. The visual system supports fast perception and confident decision-making across both web and mobile environments, even in high-information contexts.
Brand Application
The visual and interaction system was consistently applied across all core web and mobile screens to ensure clarity and coherence throughout the product. Components, layouts, and interaction states were aligned with the established UX structure, supporting predictable behavior and ease of use.
This approach enables scalability and long-term consistency as new features and data layers are introduced. As a result, the interface remains structured, intuitive, and reliable for farmers managing multiple fields and conditions.
